Job description
- Validate system performance, stability, and scalability based on defined Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
- Define performance testing scope in collaboration with business, development, and infrastructure teams.
- Execute performance tests including Load, Stress, Volume, Endurance, and Availability testing.
- Design and develop performance test scripts using Apache JMeter or k6.
- Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks and system limitations.
- Set up and manage performance test environments, including test data and monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace).
- Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to investigate root causes and support performance improvements.
- Prepare performance test reports with key metrics such as response time, TPS, error rate, along with clear recommendations.
- Propose improvements to performance testing processes and best practices.
- Support and integrate automated performance testing within CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 1–2 years focused on performance testing.
- Hands-on experience validating system performance and scalability using Apache JMeter (preferred) or k6.
- Proven experience executing and analyzing Load, Stress, Volume, Endurance, and Availability tests.
- Good understanding of HTTP protocol, REST APIs, and system architectures (client-server, microservices).
- Familiarity with application and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Ability to analyze system metrics and logs to identify performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Nice to Have:
- Experience testing systems in cloud environments.
- Experience with database performance analysis or SQL tuning.
- Experience with service mocking tools (e.g. GoMock).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
